Im sitting here writing this with this heater about six feet from me and on medium. Im comfortable and shirtless even though it is only in the low 60s in the house. We have a couple of oil filled heaters. My right side heater side is hot to the touch, my left side is cool. Over all though, Im comfortable.
The DeLonghi safe heat has the extra covering over the baffles and this makes it different from other oil-filled heaters. They create a chimney effect that sends warm air forced through the top, almost like a blower. You actually can feel the concentrated heat. Also, it only takes this heater a matter of an hour or so to reach peak heat. That is great for an oil-filled heater.
